Apostle of Hustle | Zulu Records, Vancouver

Apostle of Hustle @ Zulu Records

This afternoon’s short and sweet Zulu’s in-store satisfied my craving for a wee bit of Arts and Crafts action. Andrew Whiteman, singer, guitarist, and part of the Broken Social Scene collective, led the band through four teaser songs, including one of my favourites on the National Anthem of Nowhere disc, “My Sword Hand’s Anger”.

The Torontonians, fresh from a 2-week stint in the States, appear relieved to be back in their homeland and close off Vancouver’s somewhat faltering (and may I say, poorly promoted) New Music West festivities this evening. Hooray.
