About

Yes, music on the Internet is overwhelming, uncontrollable, and often saturated with a heaping helping of garbage. I find new bands one day, pet them tenderly, and then poof — they’re extinct within a week. But the drama of the hunt is intense, and I’m intoxicated by the idea of not being able to catch up.

Some friends think I take the discovery of new music a bit too seriously and, well… maybe that’s true. But rather than pretend I don’t care, I’m just gonna embrace it, caress it, and milk its glorious teats. Mm. I’m gettin’ hungry.

Thanks for coming to my stomping grounds on Arden Street. Stay a while, watch some videos, and share some of your secret tastes. I’m definitely here to listen.

xoxo, Connie Tsang

I never know where to find you — and then you pop up somewhere new! I’m still content in LJ land…none of these new fangled places are for me, it seems.

Hey, I can’t find your email or your myspace thing. Send me an email. There’s a website called Losing Today in Europe who was wondering about using your SxSW photos in their article on us. Wondering if you can email them to him.

I’m commenting out of hard-nose principal that web hits without comments is such bad internet etiquette. So hi, I’m here. Nice stuff you have.

    Hello,

I am working on a show review for The National show that took place on June 29 @ Richard’s on Richards in Vancouver. I completely forgot my camera and am wondering if it would be possible to use some of the photos you took in the feature. Please let me know. We would of course give appropriate credit and link to any pertinent sites for more photo viewing. I appreciate your time. Please get back to me ASAP!

    Regards,

    Hi,

I’m in desperate need of some help! My girlfriend is a desperate Yo La Tengo fan and had a beloved hand-written-looking “I am not afraid of you and I will beat your ass” poster. Unfortunately that poster was ruined during our recent move to New Orleans.

In scouring the internet to try to obtain a copy of the poster I came across your flickr upload of the very poster! I was wondering if you’d be willing to aid my quest for Boyfriend of the Year award and would let me buy the poster from you.

If tempted, reply to this post.

    THANKS!
    Jon

    Hi Connie,
My name is Chloe Newsom, I work for Edelman Digital, and Levi’s is our client. Ardent Street is a great blog, and when we were presented with the idea of this contest, your blog came to mind. Your mix of music and photography is really innovative, and you’re a pleasure to read. Your blog truly reminds me of what were looking for in the candidacy for the next Levi’s Girls. In any case, we would love your help in gathering submissions from fun, social-media savvy, career-minded girls, like yourself and your readers!
The search is on for the next Levi’s Girl! Are you the perfect fit?
The winner will be offered a paid position as Levi’s social media maven, and spokesperson for the Levi’s Shape What’s to Come community. What’s more, the Levi’s Girl will work from Levi’s HQ in San Francisco, participating in countless Levi’s celebrity-studded events.. We’re looking for accomplished, social media superstars who embrace the Levi’s Go Forth and Shape What’s to Come mentality and are passionate about our brand! The Levi’s Girl will be the link to Levi’s millennial female fan base, fostering conversations through social media and the Shape What’s to Come community.
    How it works
All you need to do is create a 1 minute video answering one of the following questions, and describe why you should be one of the next Levi’s Girls:
    1. What’s your favorite Levi’s item and how do you wear it?
    2. What sites and blogs are you completely addicted to? What women do you follow and respect online?
    3. What’s on your personal to do list – how are you shaping what’s to come?
    4. It’s 10 am on a Monday, in your new role as Levi’s Girl. What do you imagine yourself doing, how do you envision your typical day on the job?
    5. What do your friends say is unique about you?
The top 5 finalist videos will be posted on the Levi’s Facebook page where the community will vote for their favorites. Finalists will also have the chance to campaign for their video!
Video submission will open January 12th, with the winners being chosen by the end of the month.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m really looking forward to viewing all the entries!
    Best,
    Chloe

    Please add a linkback…

I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect, people can take a signal. Will likely be…
